Q. Help! I
can’t download any dives!
A. Did you
install the appropriate USB driver for your device/cable?
Make sure you do this, otherwise nothing will work.
Q. So, what are all these funny icons on the graph ?
A. If you click
on one of the icons a text description will appear. You can
edit this description and it will be saved.
Q. How can I change the
columns in the main Dives table ?
A. Right-Click
on the header of the table and you can add/remove columns.
You can also rearrange the columns by dragging them.
Q. Where are the photos
stored ?
A. Currently the photos are referenced from wherever they
already are on your hard drive. You can, for example, drag
them directly from iPhoto.
Q. How do I back up my
data or move it to another computer ?
A. All of your data is stored in this file: /Users/your
username/Library/Application
Support/MacDive/MacDive.sqlite. Just back up that file, or
copy it to the equivalent location on another computer and
you’re good to go. Note - this will not copy your photos,
as mentioned above.
Q. I get the error
"Error contacting dive computer" - help!
A. Make sure your dive computer is in PC Transfer mode
(TR-PC). Newer models will do this automatically, so check
your manual to see if it is required.
